Nartiang Durga Temple…Durgadevi Temple is located in Jaintia Hills in Shilang district of Meghalaya. The Nartiang Durga temple is very popular and is known for worshiping Durgadevi as the worship of the hill. The Durga Temple is located adjacent to the ruins of the summer building of Jayanta. It is said that the temple was built during the reign of King Jayanti in Hinduism. The temple is now known to have been taken to the venue, as the temple was originally located in the canopy of the banana leaves. The temple has a history of about 500 years. It is said to be one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

The Nartiang Durga Temple is known as the most important center for Shakti Puja in Hindu culture. Sati Devi Left thigh to have landed in the Jaintia Hills area on the left.
