Danteshwari Temple is located in the Dantewada district in the state of Chhattisgarh. Danteshwari Temple is located temple was built in the 14th century by the Chalukyas in the confluence of holy rivers Shanki and Dhanki. The name Dantewada is derived from the name of Danteshwari Devi which is located in the temple in the Dantewada district in the state of Chhattisgarh. The goddess is known as Danteshwari Devi. She is named one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. This Danteshwari Devi is the Goddess of Kakatiya.

According to legend, it is said that Sati Devi is the place where the teeth are fallen. The statue of Amman in this temple is inscribed with a black stone rock. The temple consists of the Maha Mandapam, the main Mandapam, and the Samba Mandapam. The Maha Mandapam is made of small stones. The Garuda Stupa, which is located opposite the main entrance of the temple, is an attraction to the temple. It has a specialty in this temple. The festival is celebrated at the time of Dasara Navaratri. Thousands of devotees come from their places to visit and celebrate  Navaratri.
